SURPRISE! Redskins open 2014 at Texans Sept 7 — Anthony Brown (@SkinsHogHeaven)
“I wrote a letter to the fans and it speaks for itself,” Snyder said, referring to a letter distributed in March to announce the foundation. “It tells you we did our homework, unlike a lot of people, and we understand the issues out there. We’re not an issue. The real issues are real-life issues, real-life needs, and it’s time that people focus on reality.”

After just one season with the Washington Redskins, Robert Griffin III had all us Redskin fans expecting and clamoring for more success. Sadly for everybody associated with the club, the success Griffin and co. had in 2012 was not the start of a trend, but rather was an elaborate attempt to set up the Redskins […]
“FACT: In addition to the multitude of partial college scholarships given out in sports like baseball, where full scholarships are rare, many basketball and football players on so called “full rides” often find that their scholarships fall short of covering the cost of attendance by a few thousand dollars. A 2010 study conducted jointly by the National College Players Association and Ithaca College found that Division I student-athletes on “full” scholarships were left with an average shortfall of $2,951 per year, or $14,755 over four years. That same year the average student loan debt of all college seniors who graduated was $25,250, according to the Institute of College Access and Success.”

“This time we’re taking the handcuffs off,” Orakpo said. “We’re going to go out there and make guys make plays. Make guys [on the Redskins' defense] play to their advantage instead of playing what’s called. I’m very excited about the new regime, very excited about the new scheme, very excited about having [linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti] back especially, and having Brian Baker to help us with our pass rushing abilities.”

Hold up on that contract for Brian Orakpo, Redskins fans. He should get it. Probably will get it. But not yet. No reason to hurry. There is one big “what if” the Redskins must decide on before dealing for Rack. Nobody is talking about the what-if. The Redskins will not discuss it with you. You are […]
You cannot read a story about the Redskins improving without mentioning Robert Griffin III. We get it. But here are five reasons why the Redskins will be better this season that don’t mention the boy wunderkind. Some you haven’t thought of. No.1 The Redskins play a fourth-place schedule this year. Say hello to the Tampa […]
“He looked 100 percent healthy. I didn’t let up on him and, boy, he kept coming — and he reminded me of the old Robert Griffin that I knew coming out of Baylor for those eight-10 weeks we worked together in 2012.
“He could have very easily lost it given the year he had. I put him through a gantlet of drills. And Robert made all the throws, showing great skills. It sure appeared to me that he took that next step as a pocket passer.
“I liked everything I saw. When we finished, he was ready to play.”
Shea worked with Griffin and a group of Washington Redskins receivers during the last week of March in Arizona.
The Redskins want me back. They just emailed the 2014 invitation to me as a former season ticket holder to get back in the game and order tickets now. Here are two things interesting about it. First, this wasn’t an invitation to get on the waiting list. It was an invite to buy tickets right […]
This story contributed by Scott Hirsch Last year’s draft was far more important for the success of this season than this year’s draft will be (good news – it was a good one minus Jamison). A lot of what happens this year’s draft depends on how the following relative newbies look this Spring ̶ Tom […]
This post written by Scott Hirsch. Before we get excited about the Redskins in 2014, it’s important to understand what went wrong in 2013. By now we are familiar with the Shannahan-agans that went on – ego that rewarded assistant coaching jobs for ‘yes men’ (actually ball boys), the most predictable offense in the league, […]
“A lot of people were rolling their eyes over the weekend when Robert Griffin III pumped up his new Instagram account on Saturday and used it to introduce his new logo on Sunday. Oh well. Still much better than a year ago when his tweets were veiled messages and we kept hearing that he was “ahead of schedule” on his knee rehab. I’ll take an overhyped logo unveiling any day.”

“Another influence was my boy Durant. Kevin Durant been calling me, he been calling and saying ‘man you know how I’d go crazy for you to be in D.C.’ I mean, what better place is there for me to be? I’m happy to be here. I’m glad, man, honestly I can say that”
